About Our Function Room
Mara is a hidden gem sitting on The Shore in Leith with stunning waterfront views. We are a laidback wine bar serving popular & lesser-known wines, local beers, classic cocktails & delicious food.
Our vibrant back bar area can be turned into a private function room including it's own private bar for larger events.
The function room can comfortably fit up to 40 people seated, or 60 standing, making it perfect for birthday parties, corporate events & more. You are still able to hire the space for smaller events, but may need to
Under-18s welcome until 8pm.
We are completely dog-friendly.
The function room is not wheelchair accessible.
To book the space, we require a hire fee of £100.
Food & Drink Packages
Keep your party fed and watered with one of our great package deals. Our new buffet menu features classic, easy-eating dishes done well that your guests will love.
Set the night off in style with fizz or beer on arrival, have wines out on the table, or even put money behind the bar for your guests. We'll work with you to make sure you get exactly the package you want.

Keep your guests refreshed with one of our drinks packages, including arrival drinks, fizz, bottle beer, hot drinks and more.
From the kitchen, you can enjoy canapés and set buffet menus perfect for any budget. We can share these with you when you enquire.
We also welcome ticketed events, and don't charge a commission fee on ticket sales. Just let us know if you're organising this type of event.

We have great AV options including screens, microphones and sound systems that you can connect to. These are perfect for corporate networking events & presentations.
